FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions patients ask us most often — about booking, timings, surgery, delivery and cost. If your question is not here, just call us.

How do I book an appointment?+

Appointments are booked over the phone. Call +91 08812 222950 between 10:30 AM and 8:30 PM, tell the reception whether you need maternity/gynaecology or E.N.T, and we will give you a consultation slot — usually the same day.

Do you accept walk-in patients?+

Yes. Walk-in patients are seen during OP hours, but patients with a phone booking are given priority, so calling ahead saves you waiting time.

Is the hospital open at night and on Sundays?+

Deliveries and emergencies are attended 24 hours, every day. Routine OP runs Monday to Saturday 10:30 AM – 8:30 PM and Sunday 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM.

Who is the E.N.T specialist?+

Dr. V. Vijay Krishan Baba, consultant E.N.T surgeon. He handles ear, nose, throat, head and neck problems and performs endoscopic sinus surgery, microscopic ear surgery, tonsillectomy and septoplasty in our own operation theatre.

Who is the gynaecologist?+

Dr. V. Lakshmi, consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist. She looks after antenatal care, normal and caesarean deliveries, high-risk pregnancies and general women's health.

What does an E.N.T consultation cost?+

Consultation charges are kept deliberately reasonable for local families. The exact fee, and the cost of any test or surgery advised, is told to you at the reception before you proceed.

Will I be told the total cost before surgery?+

Yes. The surgical package — theatre, anaesthesia, room, medicines and follow-up — is explained before admission so there are no surprises at discharge.

Is sinus or tonsil surgery painful? How long is the stay?+

Most sinus and tonsil procedures are done endoscopically or as day-care surgery under general anaesthesia. Pain is controlled with medicines, and the majority of patients go home the same day or the next morning.

Do you do hearing tests?+

Yes. Pure-tone audiometry and tympanometry are available in-house, along with advice on hearing aids where they are needed.

Can children be treated here for ear and throat problems?+

Yes. Repeated tonsillitis, adenoid enlargement, ear discharge and foreign bodies in the ear or nose are among the most common paediatric cases we see.

When should I have my first pregnancy check-up?+

As soon as your pregnancy test is positive, ideally within the first 6–8 weeks. An early dating scan and blood tests make the rest of the pregnancy much easier to plan.

Do you encourage normal delivery?+

Yes. Normal delivery is always the first preference. A caesarean is advised only when it is medically safer for the mother or the baby, and the reason is explained to the family in advance.

Can my husband or mother stay with me during admission?+

One attendant can stay with the patient in the inpatient room. Visiting hours for others are kept limited so patients can rest.

Do you have ultrasound and lab facilities?+

In-house ultrasound and routine blood investigations are available. For specialised tests we have tie-ups with reliable laboratories in Eluru.

What should I bring for my visit?+

Previous prescriptions, scan reports, X-rays or discharge summaries, plus an ID card. For antenatal visits, always bring your pregnancy record book.

Where exactly is the hospital?+

We are at Bendapudi Vari St, Ramachandra Rao Pet, Eluru, Andhra Pradesh 534002. Use the 'Get directions' link on the contact page to open the hospital location in Google Maps.
